Facebook had the biggest developer conference yesterday in the history of the company after facing controversial and heavy issues like "Cambridge Analytica Scandal". Facebook many big announcements on F8 yesterday. Here is everything you need to know about what is coming new on Facebook F8.

Among major changes to the platform, Zuckerberg said the feed will see changes which will encourage people to share events and highlights of their day in more “creative ways”. He used the example of changes in the way birthday wishes come to you. Soon, you will see all your wishes bundled in a special section, instead of separate posts on your wall.

The 'Clear History' Button

Facebook will have a 'Clear History' button just like any other web browser. That actually means that users will be able to revoke all the access to any apps or websites that are connected with your Facebook account or has any access to it. There will also be a toggle button which will allow users to keep the Facebook history off from further or future use.

Mark mentioned this earlier before F8 by posting it on a Facebook post

This feature is built to provide more privacy control to users.

Privacy Change

Facebook detailed some changes to its mobile app to make it easier to find and adjust privacy settings. A new privacy feature section lets you "control your data in just a few taps, with clearer explanations of how our controls work," Facebook chief privacy officer Erin Egan and the company's general counsel Ashlie Beringer said in a post.
Within the Privacy Shortcuts section, users can review what they have shared on Facebook and delete it if they wish as well as manage what ads are seen and make their account more secure with two-factor authentication.

A new "Access Your Information" section lets you manage your Facebook activity and download a copy of the data you've shared on the network.

"The last week showed how much more work we need to do to enforce our policies, and to help people understand how Facebook works and the choices they have over their data," the Facebook execs say.

Facebook is also working on updates to its terms of service, including "our commitments to people" and changes to its data policy "to better spell out what data we collect and how we use it," they say. "These updates are about transparency not about gaining new rights to collect, use, or share data."

Facebook moving into Dating?

Tinder uses Facebook profiles to make it easy for anyone to join the app and now Facebook is using the same profile data
to bring a native dating service.

Mark announced that Facebook will offer a dating feature that will allow people to browse potential matches who have similar interests and get people to connect over community activities and events. This will help users find dates to upcoming concerts or events. This feature will allow people to chat with each other by only using their first names. The text messages won't be integrated with any of the Facebook services like WhatsApp, Messenger or even core Facebook.

The only thing that Facebook is not letting you do is to get the matches of your friends. So you will only meet the people who are not your friends. Facebook has mentioned that they will show ads based on your data on it.

Facebook mentioned more details on its official blog:

We’re building a feature for dating and relationships within the Facebook app. People already use Facebook to meet new people, and we want to make that experience better. People will be able to create a dating profile that is separate from their Facebook profile — and potential matches will be recommended based on dating preferences, things in common, and mutual friends. They’ll have the option to discover others with similar interests through their Groups or Events. However, what people do within the dating feature will not be shown to their friends. We’ll share more information when this begins testing later this year.
