Samsung will use the 10nm technology for the chips. Samsung also promises to have 18Gbps of pin speed as well as a data transfer speed of 72GBps to help the world in the growing technologies. These chips will be adopted by the next generation graphics card and gaming consoles.

Samsung claims that it has a 35 percent improvement in power consumption. These chips will operate on 1.35v energy consumption by using Samsung's low-power circuit technology.

Beginning with this early production of the industry's first 16Gb GDDR6, we will offer a comprehensive graphics DRAM line-up, with the highest performance and densities, in a very timely manner. By introducing next-generation GDDR6 products, we will strengthen our presence in the gaming and graphics card markets and accommodate the growing need for advanced graphics memory in automotive and network systems.
