YouTube for iOS is updated to support Vertical Video

YouTube has announced the "Vertical Video" feature since they changed the look and feel of YouTube few months ago. Now YouTube is rolling out the feature for iOS users.

Vertical Video feature basically allows users(viewers) to watch vertically captured videos in full screen, in portrait mode with no black bars.

The reason to introduce such feature was that YouTube was getting the response from people about the vertical video because more and more number of videos were getting uploaded with different aspect ratios and changes including vertical or portrait videos. To play this type of videos, YouTube player plays it in landscape mode with black bars on both side and a tiny vertical screen in the middle. Android users has got this feature since a long time but iOS users were still struggling through that.
